We are saddened to report the death of Ray White. He had been the Warden of
our little chapel for many years and was an example of what a Church Warden
should be. He was always most supportive of the parish priest and took his
responsibility for the smooth running of services very seriously. He was
active in the up-keep and cleaning of the building, which he had
reconstructed single-handedly.
Besides his Warden's duties, he was the
server at Combe Martin. He will be sorely missed by everyone, especially the
small children with whom he had a particular bond.
Ray leaves a widow, Scilla; daughters Ann, Sarah, Catherine, Tamara and
Anna; grandchildren Ian, Angela, Alexander, Joseph, Natasha and Philip. His
latest grandchild, Anna's first-born, is due next week.
May he rest in the glory of the risen Lord!
