Ordination at the Parish of the Dormition, London

On Sunday 3 August Eugene Gafton was ordained reader and subdeacon for the Parish of the Dormition, London (Holborn).

Subdeacon Eugene Gafton was born into an Orthodox family in Romania in 1954. He was educated in England, and spent some years in the United States, returning to London  in 1989. For many years he worshipped at the Ennismore Gardens Cathedral. His wife, Victoria, died in 2003, and he has two sons, Joseph (16) and Joshua (10).  He works as the manager of two dental practices, and is Treasurer of the Parish of the Dormition of the Mother of God, London.
