On the Eve of St Seraphim's Day, 31st July 2008 Vespers was celebrated at St Seraphim's Church by Bishop Basil and Father Patrick Hodson.

During the Liturgy for St Seraphim on Friday 1st August, at which Bishop Basil was the chief celebrant, Christopher Knight was ordained Deacon, andIan Randall was made a Reader .

Both  will serve the Parish of the Holy Transfiguration, Great Walsingham

Concelebrating with Bishop Basil were Father Patrick Hodson, Father David Gill. Father Alexander Haig from Colchester and Father George from Lincoln were also present.

It was a joyful occasion attended by more than 70 people, including the last person to be received at St Seraphim's by Archimandrite  David was present: Andrew Cowling, who traveled from Spalding.

This was the first Liturgy to be held at St Seraphim's with the Church and property now in the care of St Seraphim's Trust.

Thank you to all who joined us to make this a wonderful day.

Many years was sung for Mother Seraphima, who in her 60's came to join Father David and the community, leaving 14 years ago for London.
